Rufus Dale Bodine INSPIRED compositions that transcend the sublime mystery of Creation. Transporting you spiritually to the distant, primeval forests where Nature's majesty is revealed to the yearning soul of MAN. Brilliant.

Gary Figueroa In this gorgeous acoustic set, Roni Kurkijávri creates deeply heartfelt ambient neo-folk music that draws one's internal calm to dance sinuously as each track unwinds. Magical, ethereal and with lovely found sound embellishments to further enhance both the aesthetic and healing touch of this recording. The cranes heard on track 3 make it all so vivid and surreal. Seriously nurturing music. Your resistance is futile. Favorite track: 03 Suopursu.

LOITSU - NATURE INSPIRED NEOFOLK FROM FINLAND.

Loitsu has been bringing joy for people all over the world for a long time now. It has had monthly downloads +12 years from 44 different countries.

For a very long time, it was only three songs. Loitsu was originally a way of calming down and drifting away with my acoustic guitar. I took it with me many many times to the nature-trips and treks with me and played in different settings. I didn't though it as a "project" or "music" or "art" or whatever. Then I got my hands on to a very good quality shotgun-microphone and portable amp/mixer for a few weeks and planned a trip to Koskeljärvi which I knew would have lot of sounds and cranes which was my main goal to record. I spent two nights there next to a camp-fire and recorded the fire, my guitar and everything what was around me. Sneaking around in the dark forest with a huge microphone middle of the night in hopes of catching as much interesting sounds as possible and not catching anything unpleasent to ones feet is quite hard thing to do. For the cranes I waited a long time. I was ready anytime but it was silent 9 hours before it came. Two cranes singing, male and female. (Song #3) When I put the material together at home and played some piano on top of it, Loitsu had born. Internet took care of the rest by itself.

After that, I have composed 12-14 songs with acoustic guitar which goes very much under atmosphere and spirit of Loitsu, but was unable to find inspiration and time to actually lay it down and record/mix it all for a very long time. Now that has finally changed, new songs have been released and Loitsu is waking up from it's deep winter sleep with some new songs.
